Faith Presbyterian Church has been engaged in a congregation to congregation partnership with the Riamakurwe Parish of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa in Nyeri, Kenya since 1998.  During the summer of 2010, a mission group of 15 people (adults and youth) visited our partner church in Nyeri.  An article was written for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship about this mission trip, and how our partnership with the Riamukurwe Parish deepens our Worship.  Click here to read the article.  Please click here for text from our Kenya Trip Blog.

Being in partnership with Presbyterians in another culture has taught us much about discipleship and hospitality.  Through visits to one another we have learned to open ourselves up to the unexpected ways Christ’s love can shine through another person to teach us new ways of being a disciple.   We have engaged in prayer, bible study, and devotional time in person and through phone calls, conference calls, letter writing and joint worship services.  We have joined with them in their ministry to the destitute children of the Nyeri area through the support of the Tumaini Children’s Home.
